This movie shows the reality we live today much love as the cruelty of abandoned children.
People leave their children in orphanages and other in the street they are abused and exploited. The boy never lost hope of finding their parents.
In coclusion the movie I liked the message it gives, we should all fight for our dreams and never lose hope.

Technological progress

The interviewed person was my father, his name is Gerardo Alfaro. He is 66 years old.

He said that when he was a child there was any technology, after many years began to park early television, many people in the village meeting in a house to watch television but not compared to television screens there today.

He said that when he was child and he lived in Sabanilla Alajuela and said they had no electric cookers or microwaves or phones. He said that when he had his first cell phone did not know how it was used; he said he was very heavy and very big.

 He said that he loved to the time before but now technology makes life easier for many people and helps not only in homes also helps hospitals and others.

IMMIGRATION POLICIES IN COSTA RICA

Costa Rica has immigration policies but those do not work well because people from other countries come and go illegally without restrictions.

The worst thing is that many of these people come to make things bad as drug dealing, prostitution, commit robbery and kidnapping. But also many of these people came to work and help the country to prosper.

I think these policies should be more severe, controlling who enters and who leaves our country and that most of bad things that are happening are because these people come to commit crimes that affected mostly the costarricans.
At the borders, should be more monitoring so people could not enter illegally, and also give political asylum to those who really deserve it.

Rice Pudding Recipe

It is that rice pudding was brought to America by the Spanish conquerors. Rice pudding is a dessert typical of the Gastronomy of many countries made ​​slowly cooking rice in milk with sugar. It is eaten warm or cold. Cinnamon, vanilla or lemon peel is often put for flavoring.
In Argentina, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Spain, Venezuela, Panama, Peru, Colombia, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Chile, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Mexico is very traditional, generally adding raisins and cinnamon.

Directions

In a medium sized pot, bring the milk, rice and salt to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer until the rice is tender, about 20-25 minutes. Stir frequently to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot.

In a small mixing bowl, whisk together egg and brown sugar until well mixed. Add a half cup of the hot rice mixture to the egg mixture, a tablespoon at a time, vigorously whisking to incorporate.

Add egg mixture back into the pot of rice and milk and stir, on low heat, for 10 minutes or so, until thickened. Be careful not to have the mixture come to a boil at this point. Stir in the vanilla. Remove from heat and stir in the raisins and cinnamon.

Serve warm or cold.

Home schooling is a choice made by some parents to provide elementary, middle or high school education to their children in their own home, because they also prefer like being able to enjoy more time together as a family.

There are many advantages to home schooling as, parents teach their children one on one, with more personal attention; these children often understand the material more quickly.  They get to choose their children is curriculum and work at each child's own pace.

The parents don't have to worry about drugs, alcohol and bad influences.

But there disadvantages too as, children aren't socializing with other children their own age, they become lonely people.

I think it is a good option for people who for some type of problem or disease or disability not is delayed, this method will have the opportunity to divide their time. But I also believe that parents or guardians must be prepared people.
And also must be approved for those who really deserve it.

Community Service

The activity is to be developed by higher education students who are studying vocational, technical, cultural, sport and humanities during their education. The benefit of the community t cooperate with participation in the compliance with social welfare purposes, in agreement the law.

Community service is a requirement for graduation and it should be done without. This last requirement will not be final for the fulfillment of this activity.

The main objectives are to promote community service and the students, solidarity and commitment to the community and the application of the knowledge acquired during academic training.

I think that community work is very important because we can get much benefit in using knowledge and help institutions and communities.

Meeting community service hours we will help us et our title and we will feel satisfied of having helped people.

Advantage or disadvantages of living longer

I think, one advantage is the possibility of taking a life with more experiences, because if a person lives more years, can do more activities than another person. This person spends much of their time keeping their body in shape with exercise and healthy eating habits.

A disadvantage could be if a person doesn’t want to have an active life. If a person follows a sedentary lifestyle could feel life as a bitter step. They prefer spending their time sitting in front of the television, consuming fast food, chips and candy. Often have to deal with multitude of health issues, ranging from aches and pains, to life threatening diseases. I think that the biggest disadvantage is not being a healthy person and suffer all the time.

The recipe to enjoy a long and healthy life is to stay fit and have good habits.

Intelligent Animals

Human beings have the ability to learn, to reflect and solve problems, to know oneself, to feel, to have ideas and feel the feelings of others, but we are not the unique creatures capable of doing all that.

There are many very intelligent animals such as:
Chimpanzee, humanity's closest relative
Dolphin, with creativity
Elephant, whit knowledge of themselves
Crow, with amazing agility
Dog, similar to the way of understanding the humans
Cat, with high adaptability
Pork, intelligent and clean
Parrot, capable of imitating animals and human voices

The animals have shown that, despite not having advanced cognitive functions such as humans, can develop skills that enable them, first, to adapt to their environment and secondly to learn things that men can teach them to develop their intelligence according to their capabilities.

Should There Be a Choice!

Smoking is one of the worst things that children or adults can do to their bodies. However children aged between 12 and 17are already starting to smoke.

Fortunately, fewer people are starting to smoke a few years ago. Maybe that is because more people have learned that smoking and use of snuff can cause cancer, respiratory diseases and heart disease.

In many parts of the world it is prohibited smoking in public places such as schools, hospitals, airports, bus stations, buildings, gas stations, libraries, museums ... because the smoke harms much nonsmokers . Smoking should be banned in public places because non-smokers have a right to clean air, and because second hand smoke is more dangerous than actually smoking a cigarette.

Consequently, the prohibition on smoking in public places will help reduce the consumption of snuff in general and especially of the younger generation.

PERSONAL SUCCESS

The success of a person associated with the ability work to achieve their objectives. Success depends on the attitudes, strategies, objectives, goals and character that every individual has, the most important thing is how we face challenge of life. The secret to success is identifying what you want and direct all energy to make it happen.

 For some people, success can mean getting married, having children, having their own business, but each of these involves risk.

 Having objectives can help us point the way, serve as a guide, motivates us, make us more efficient, and help us establish priorities. The most important is to have our goals and use the time trying to be better.

 The road to success is a long road full of obstacles, uncertainties and difficulties, it is important to persevere and not give up, not to lose the opportunities when they appear.

We must be brave and continue with courage; in life nothing comes for free or easily. The most important thing is to use every obstacle to keep growing and achieve success.

The influence of media on societal values

Today we are living in a violent country, media helps us to be informed about what´s happening in our streets, neighborhoods and the around world. It´s the adults´ responsibility to help children so they do not copy the negative things and follow them in their lifes.

Media does not only bring bad news, it also contributes to the individual education, because it allow us to know the world around us.

But, media plays a significant role in society; sometimes it´s not good, because many media is sensationalist. It exaggerates things and this makes people stop seeing and listening to the news.

All media needs an interpellation by the whole spectators, and perform work with responsibility and ethic.

 My name is Adriana Alfaro; I am 26 years old, I was born on December 12^th 1984, and I live in Santa Barbara, Heredia with my daughter and husband, she is 3 years old, she is going to preschool in February, and he is physician, they are the most important people in my life. We are happy family.  

I left to university for two years to take care of my daughter; I am Dentistry student at ULACIT University right now, also studied English at FUNDATEC.

I spend time with my family and friends; I like to share with the people, I am very friendly person. I love to go to the beach because it is very relaxing. I love to travel and see new places.

I like pets; I have two dogs and two cats.

My favorite food is meat and salad, Novillo Alegre restaurant is my favorite place for eat because the food is delicious; we usually go to that restaurant.

My main goal is to finish my college career and help my husband to build our home.
